Local 2019 is working hard in coalition with the other three EBMUD Unions to ensure that all District workers’ health and safety is the highest priority, and to advocate that the District maintain full wage replacement for employees who are unable to work for the duration of any shelter-in-place order.
The intent is to ensure that the only employees that are physically reporting and interacting with others are performing absolutely critical work while the shelter-in-place is in effect.
We need data the District is unable to provide regarding your work status. We also need to know where Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is lacking in daily operations so we can work with the District to procure it.
